It comes in a black anodized finish. The rim is made from durable alloy and measures 23 mm wide and 37 mm deep. These are heavier but are cheaper than a complete carbon rim owing to lower manufacturing and development costs. Wide and rounded is best.

The spokes are also black for a modern look with 18 in the front and 24 in the rear. Generally deep section wheels offer significant aero drag benefits over traditional shallow rims so that a rider can go faster for the same effort or the same speed for less effort says. Carbon rims can be built much deeper than aluminum rims but with much less weight than a similar profle aluminum rim. The pacenti sl23 and kinlin xc279 are in the sweet spot for aluminum rims.

If you want the rim deep for aero you don t need to go that deep. Choose wheels from 13 inch to 26 inch diameters select lightweight aluminum or high strength steel construction and complete the look with polished matte or chrome finishes. Deep section aero wheels offer some of the biggest speed gains you can find along with your helmet and clothing. You are getting some seriously good wheels for your money here.

If you want to go deeper you are better off with the latest generation carbon. Deep section rims are built from carbon fiber because aluminum rims of equivalent height would be very heavy and could not be rolled into a circle without wrinkling.
