Leaks in this type of faucet usually can be fixed with a new neoprene valve seat and spring. Over the valve seat and spring the stem is held into the body with a bonnet nut. Replace ball assembly 1 in diagram repair part rp70 as shown for lever handles or rp212 for knob handles replace cam packing 2 in diagram repair kit rp61. If this occurs check the connection of the hose to the spray wand.

Leaks from under the handle. With a stem style faucet a neoprone valve seat and spring fits into the water inlet port in valve body. The handle then fits onto the top of the stem. Since the water travels through the hose and not the spout itself a leak from the base of the spout would be very unlikely.

For faucets purchased prior to 2007 please order rp1050 cap and rp61 cam and packing. Leaks from under the handle. If this connection is secure and not leaking then check the hose for damage. Replace the hose if it is damaged or leaking.
