Take off the decorative cap and use a screwdriver to loosen the screws in the center of the handle. Pry off the handle insert with the thin blade of a pocketknife. To test to make sure the leak is fixed turn on the water and let it run for a minute. Step 2 step 3.

Always replace both seat washers and seats on a double handle faucet. When turning the faucet handles no longer fully shuts off the water flow the seat washers and seats probably need replacing.
